Education

PhD, Particle Physics

2015 - 2020

Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM), Tehran, Iran

As a Ph.D. student in Physics, I was doing research in elementary particle physics using sophisticated data analysis methods. My research focus was on problems related to discovering new physics in top quarks, axions, and dark matter. We run simulations to generate and analyze data, compare several hypotheses and decide which theory is better based on statistical methods.

  • Generated simulation data and performed data analysis for a paper in Higgs Physics. [Link]
  • Suggested a new data analysis method to constrain the parameter space of axion-like particles models. For a channel, we obtained an 80% improvement relative to previous bounds. The paper is published in Physical Review D and got good attention from the community. [Link]
  • Created video courses about Madgraph software and root-cern data analysis framework to help new students in our lab. [Link]
  • Improved LHC bounds on the coupling of up quarks to top quarks by 20%. [Link]
  • I did thorough research and wrote a 80 pages documentation review on dark matter as a qualification exam

MSc, Black Hole Physics

2013 - 2015

Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran

I did research in theoretical physics about Hawking radiation. In my research, I used Mathematica for symbolic tensor calculation. In addition, I passed advanced courses in Quantum Mechanics, General Relativity, Statistical Mechanics, and Electrodynamics.

BSc, Physics
